of the Eye 
Cornea:
The transparent outer layer of the eye that covers the iris and
pupil.
Aqueous: The liquid that fills
the space between the cornea and the iris.
Iris: The round, colored membrane
between the cornea and the lens that surrounds the pupil.
Lens: The transparent tissue located
between the iris and vitreous that focuses light entering the pupil
into the retina.
Pupil: The small, dark round opening
in the center of the eye’s iris through which light enters
the eye.
Vitreous: The gel that fills
the space between the iris and the retina.
Retina: A layer of nerve cells
lining the back of the eye that detects light and color information.
Optic Nerve: The nerve which
transmits signals from the retina to the brain to be processed as
vision.
